FINALLY HOME!!! :)

We are finally home!

We left Orlando at 9:30 on Friday morning planning on driving to Pensacola, catching a hotel, and flying out the next afternoon. Change of plans...about half way to Pensacola we decided to reschedule our flight back to Tulsa. Yes, honeymoon-ing is the greatest...we had SO MUCH fun........BUT......after two weeks, we were SO ready to murder Mr. Mickey (and the crowds of loud, obnoxious tourists), we were SICK of hotel rooms, and we were FINISHED eating theme-park food. We called the airline and discovered that the cost for changing our flight would be $300 each?!?!? That went over like a dead fish...not in a hundred years would we pay that much to get home a day early. So, we moved to option #2...YES, driving home. Long story short, we drove 21.5 hrs straight and made it home at 6:30 on Saturday morning. We got our money back for the Saturday night hotel, and it looks like we'll get the money back for our return flight as well. Happy ending all the way around. :)

Chan, Tash, and I went grocery shopping on Saturday afternoon. We needed to stock our refrigerator and pantry...plus, we wanted to have our families over that evening for dinner. We ended up eating salad, lasagna, corn, and garlic/cheese bread...all kudos go to Chan and Tash for the wonderful meal! We also took some time to open all of our wedding gifts...felt like Christmas all over again. I chipped in a little and made some brownies for dessert...they were actually pretty good *pat on the back*.

So, now it's back to the real world...responsibilities, work, bills, etc....back to the daily grind. But there is one BIG difference....I've now got the most wonderful, most beautiful lady in the world by my side. LOVE YOU CHAN!

And for those who are wondering.........it DOES.........

Our Honeymoon, Day 13... SEA WORLD!!!! :)

Sea World was the absolute best of ALL OF THEM!!!! It was an awesome finale for our honeymoon. We went to all the morning shows then left and ate lunch at Magginos, Little Italy. It was really good food. We were going to go back to watch the fireworks at midnight but all these tourists are getting on our nerves. The good news is that Sea World park is right outside our window, so we get to watch the fireworks without fighting the crowd. My favorite show was Believe featuring Shamu. It was unbelievable and very touching.

Our Honeymoon, Day 12... Animal Kingdom

Our LAST day at Disneyworld was spent at Animal Kingdom. They had some cool shows as well. We went to a Bug's Life and the musical Lion King. They were both awesome. We ate at Olive Garden for lunch and called it an early day. We may go back to watch Tinker Bell fly from the Castle later this evening but for now we are sick of fighting our way through people and too we want an early start tomorrow for Sea World. :) :) :) The weather here was perfect today! IT IS 70 degrees!!! No coats or SCARVES needed. Hopefully tomorrow will be just as nice.

Our Honeymoon, Day 11... MGM Hollywood Studios

It was another day of SHOVING through THRONGS of people and driving alongside millions of pooky tourists. If you want to go anywhere here in Orlando or in Disneyworld add an hour to your travel time. Seriously it is ridiculous. The shows we went to see today generally sat about, if not over, 2,000 in each theater. The best three shows today by far were the musical Beauty and the Beast, Indiana Jones, and the musical/watershow Fantasmic. They were all awesome! MGM has been by far my favorite. We wanted to ride the tower of terror but the line was 2 hours long with no fast passes!?!?! We might go back tomorrow and try to ride it and see one more show after we go to Animal Kingdom. We came home and ate gourmet Campbell's soup. There is only a microwave in our kitchen (unacceptable) and we weren't hungry enough to go out to eat after eating pretzels, hot dogs, and carmel corn at MGM.

Our Honeymoon, Day 10... EPCOT

Today was day #2 at Disney World. We went to EPCOT this morning and afternoon. It is really neat with a bunch of 3-D shows, buildings representing different countries and boosting yummy smelling foods, and science exhibits. We ended up going back to Magic Kingdom in the evening and watched the lighting of the castle again and rode a few more of the rides. We called it an early evening because our feet HURT and it was freezing COLD AGAIN!! This afternoon it was in the 60's but it dropped down to 40's with a chilling wind. I guess it is better than the 30's in Tulsa :) Tomorrow is MGM HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS.
